Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh of Mandan, N.D., celebrated their 30 years of breeding Gelbvieh seedstock with an outstanding production sale. The sale was held at the ranch on a snowy day in late February. An excellent crowd was on hand to take home the stout, performance bred, Gelbvieh and Balancer® bulls offered by Gustins.

The top selling bull was DDGR 172Z. He is an April 3, 2013 homozygous black, homozygous polled, purebred son of JKGF W95. After active bidding, Prairie Hills Gelbvieh, Gladstone, N.D., purchased the bull for $13,500.

Selling for $10,000 was DDGR 73Z. This March 18, 2012 red, polled, purebred bull was sired by JDPD Astro 407S. The bull finds a new home with Eslinger Brothers, Carson, N.D.

The next top selling bull was DDGR 127Z. He is a March 24, 2012 red, polled, purebred son of SINK Full Throttle 27T. Kris Swenson, Belfield, N.D., was the winning bidder at $8,500.

Kris Swenson came back to buy DDGR 53Z at $7,250. This March 13, 2012 red, polled, purebred bull was sired by JRI Fully Loaded 282M1.

Four bulls sold for $7,000 including CMR 38Z, a March 5, 2012 homozygous black, homozygous polled, purebred, sired by OZZ EXT Govenor 3N. D Bar D Gelbvieh, Hazelton, N.D., and Rosehill Gelbvieh, Munich, N.D., purchased the bull.

DDGR 95Z is a March 21, 2012 black, polled, purebred bull sired by VRT Lazy TV Powerhouse X554. He sold to to Leif Jellesed, Charlson, N.D., for $7,000.

DDGR 188Z is an April 7, 2012 red, polled, purebred bull sired by DVE Davidson Mr Dakota 151X.  Eslinger Brothers, Carson, N.D., struck again buying the bull for $7,000.

DDGR 326Z, a March 29, 2012 red, polled, purebred bull sired by DDGR Home Run 35W, sold to John and Judi Trygg, Baldwin, N.D., at $7000.

The top selling heifer was DDGR 16Y. She is a black, polled, Balancer heifer sired by SAV Final Answer 0035 and sold to Jacob Weinberger, Mandan, N.D., at $3,250.

Wes Neubauer, Wolf Point, Mont., purchased DDGR 25Y for $3,100. Another Balancer heifer, she is a black, polled daughter of B C Matrix 4132.
