AGJA Scholarships
The American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA) helps to build the industry’s future leaders. In an of the American Gelbvieh Junior Association have the opportunity to earn up to $9,000 in scholarships.
Jimmy Christopher Memorial Scholarship
The Jimmy Christopher Memorial Scholarship awards up to $3,000 in scholarships to individuals who reside east of the Mississippi River. Up to three $1,000 Jimmy Christopher Memorial Scholarships are available. The recipients are announced during the NAILE Showcase Gelbvieh & Balancer Sale in November.
AGJA Breeder’s Choice Bull Futurity Scholarship
The Breeder’s Choice Bull Futurity awards up to $1,000 to one junior member during the annual Breeder’s Choice Bull Futurity held in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show in January.
American Gelbvieh Foundation Junior Classic Scholarships
During the annual AGJA Junior Classic, junior members have the opportunity to compete for up to $5,000 in scholarship money awarded through six scholarships. Those scholarships include:
- $1,000 Earl Buss Memorial Scholarship
- $1,000 Leness Hall Memorial Scholarship
- $500 Rea Memorial Scholarship
- $500 Mary Zillinger Cates Memorial Scholarship
- $750 AGJA Scholarships (up to two scholarships awarded)
- $500 AGJA Scholarship
*An AGJA member may only win one memorial scholarship and one AGJA scholarship.
Isabel Lowe Junior Ambassador Scholarship
Isabel Lowe Junior Ambassador Scholarship offers one $250 scholarship to an eligible AGJA member. Scholarship applications are due to Isabel Lowe by June 1. Click the links below to download the application.
