Contest Resources
The American Gelbvieh Junior Association offers a wide variety of educational contest to help junior members develop valuable life-long skills. These contests are held every year at the AGJA Junior Classic. In addition, the AGJA Eastern Regional and AGJA Western Regional shows may offer a few contests.
At Junior Classic, AGJA members compete in contest within their age division. These divisions are determined by the age of the junior members as of January 1 of the current year. The age division are as follows:
- Junior: 8-11 years of age
- Intermediate: 12-15 years of age
- Senior: 16-21 years of age

Donation Ticket Details
- Drawing takes place during the AGA National Sale held in conjunction with the AGA National Gelbvieh & Balancer Show at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.
- Heifer donated by Beastrom Ranch.
- Choice between the heifer, a Beast Blower, or $1,000 cash.
- 1 Ticket = $10
- 6 Tickets = $50
AGJA Travel Scholarship Details
The AGJA Junior Board of Directors is thrilled to offer a brand-new scholarship program designed to help YOU grow, explore, and lead! We’re awarding three $500 travel scholarships to AGJA members who want to attend industry events, leadership conferences, educational programs, or AGJA activities—any opportunity that will grow your skills, connections, and passion for the beef industry. Please submit your application to Martha Moenning at martha@gelbvieh.org. Funds must be used within one year of being awarded.
