With a standing room only crowd, buyers bid fast and often to take home the elite genetics offered from the premier programs of the Gelbvieh breed,” stated Frank Padilla, director of breed promotion for the American Gelbvieh Association. “Gelbvieh and Balancer bulls with performance and carcass merit, like the two herd sire prospects sold in this national sale, will be in demand across the country this coming bull sale season and will add value for the commercial cow-calf producers who purchase them.”

The 2011 National Gelbvieh Sale was managed by Cattlemen’s Connection, Roger Gatz, Hiawatha, Kan., with Jim Birdwell serving as auctioneer, and sponsored by the American Gelbvieh Association.
