Lincoln, Nebraska – The 2022 National Western Stock Show Gelbvieh and Balancer® Show was held on Monday, January 10, 2022, in Denver, Colorado. Exhibitors welcomed judge Travis Hoffman of Fort Collins, Colorado, to evaluate the Gelbvieh and Balancer entries.

Grand champion Gelbvieh female was RID R Rose 2123H owned by Angelina Rae Manning of Shelbyville, Missouri. Sired by RID R Hatfield 7046E and born November 4, 2020, this female first earned the title of champion senior heifer calf.

Reserve grand champion Gelbvieh female was BMCE Mac Isabelle 165J owned by McEndaffer Beef Genetics of Sterling, Colorado. First earning the title of champion winter heifer calf, this February 15, 2021, born female was sired by DLW TPG Frontrunner 2510F.

Grand champion Gelbvieh bull was BMCE Mac Frontrunner 618J owned by McEndaffer Beef Genetics of Sterling, Colorado. Sired by DLW TPG Frontrunner 2510F, this bull first earned the title of champion winter bull calf, born February 17, 2021.

Reserve grand champion Gelbvieh bull was JRI Peterbuilt 254J373 owned by Judd Ranch Inc. of Pomona, Kansas. Born January 23, 2021, and sired by JRI General Patton 213B97 ET, this bull first earned the title of reserve champion winter bull calf.

Grand champion Balancer female was KSCC Steppin Out 3J owned by Kyle Stranberg of Maynard, Minnesota. Born February 4, 2021, and earning her first title of champion winter heifer calf, this female was sired by MDR First Step 7549E.

Reserve grand champion Balancer female was BEAS Prohart Honey Beas 2704J owned by Pro-Hart Seedstock of Pueblo, Colorado. First earning the title of reserve champion winter heifer calf, this female was born February 26, 2021, and sired by KR Synergy 7023.

Grand champion Balancer bull was RAIL Record Year 9190G owned by Raile Cattle Company of Saint Francis, Kansas. Born December 5, 2019, and sired by EGL Enterprise E080, this bull first earned the title of champion senior bull.
