Champions Named in 2010 American Royal Gelbvieh Show

The Gelbvieh Ring of Gold show was one of the first shows to kick off the 2010 American Royal
Livestock Show on Saturday, October 23 in Kansas City, Mo. A total of 66 head of Gelbvieh and
Balancer® females and bulls were exhibited. Travis Pembrook of Fairview, Okla., evaluated the entries.

Selected as grand champion Gelbvieh female was TFIK Whitney 251W ET. David Rea,
Berthoud, Colo., owns the March 2009 daughter of RTRT Solution.

Seth Beying, Leavenworth, Kan., owns the reserve grand champion Gelbvieh female, BDCG DC
Wilma 147W. She is a January 2009 daughter of TAU Mr Kruggerand 70M 130P.

The grand champion Gelbvieh bull honors went to HFGC HART 35W34. Bob Hart, Kansas City,
Kan., owns the October 2009 son of HFGC HF Roscoe 34P59 ET.

GGGE 3G Excalibur 055X ET was named the reserve grand champion Gelbvieh bull. This March
2010 son of SLC Freedom 178F is owned by Emily Griffiths, Kendallville, Ind.

Emily Griffiths also owned the grand champion Balancer female. GGGE 3G Cowgirl Wisdom
951W is a March 2009 daughter of 3G Smoke N Mirrors.

The reserve grand champion Balancer female was PMG Uma 802U ET owned by Tricia Goes,
Odell, Neb. This entry is a cow-calf pair and the cow is a March 2008 daughter of CA Future Direction
5321.

Claiming the grand champion Balancer bull title was GGGE 3G Warlock 928W. Emily Griffiths
owns this February 2009 son of 3G Smoke N Mirrors.

Warner Beef Genetics and Cedar Top Ranch, Beaver City, Neb., own the reserve grand champion
Balancer bull. DLW Red Power 583U is a February 2008 son of LCC Gravity B252L.

In the group classes, Chandler Ladner, Argonia, Kan., exhibited the first place produce of dam.  Dawson Creek Gelbvieh exhibited the first place get-of-sire. Emily Griffiths had the best four head.
