Champions Named at NWSS Gelbvieh Junior Heifer Show
The Junior Gelbvieh and Balancer® Heifer Show at the National Western Stock Show was held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. Judge John Grimes, Piketon, Ohio, evaluated the 27 Gelbvieh and 33 Balancer females.
Grand champion Gelbvieh heifer was BCFG Butlers Bianca 534B owned by Aidan Raab, Markle, Indiana. This heifer first claimed the Gelbvieh junior yearling heifer division and is the April 1, 2014 daughter of BCFG Butlers Impact 549U.
Coming out of the same Gelbvieh junior yearling heifer division was the reserve grand champion Gelbvieh Heifer. EGL B281, owned by J W LeDoux, Agenda, Kansas, was born April 17, 2015 and is sired by EGL Lock and Load X415.
Grand champion Balancer heifer was RAAB BCFG Ms. Valentine 214B. This heifer is owned by Aidan Raab, Markle, Indiana and first claimed the Balancer junior yearling heifer division. She is the February 14, 2014 daughter of S A V Brilliance 8077.
Reserve grand champion Balancer heifer was TAU Ms Fancy 414B ET, owned by Tanner Taubenheim, Amherst, Nebraska. This heifer also came out of the Balancer junior yearling heifer division and is the January 22, 2014 daughter of Connealy Consensus 7229.
