Zimmerman Ranch and Wohl Farms conducted their first production sale with a good crowd on hand and support from the community.

Lead off bull was Lot 30 WOHL FBW1 “Lightning” purebred Gelbvieh 94% black white face homozygous black, polled son of SPFR High Tech 333B and first-calf heifer WOHL FDBW1 (Y353 Impact).  This calving ease with growth bull sold for $9,500 to Hoherz Ranch, Mandan, North Dakota, acquiring 2/3 semen interest and full possession.  This unique bull garnered attention from commercial and seedstock ranches with Kittle Farms, LLC of Geraldine, Alabama, purchasing an exclusive seedstock semen package.

Lot 27 WOHL F17 “Spring Cricket” purebred Gelbvieh 94% homozygous black, homozygous polled son of SPFR High Tech 333B and out of first-calf heifer WOHL D18 (Y353 Impact) was purchased by Suelter Cattle Company, Lincoln, Kansas.  The deep bodied herd sire prospect brought $6,000.  Suelter also selected Lot 26 WOHL F35 “Impact Gem” purebred Gelbvieh 94% black, homozygous polled son of LWHF/JKGF Y353 Impact and WOHL C26 (186Y Winter).

Another sale highlight was Lot 5 the $5,000 ZIMM F303 “Finch” Balancer 25% son of 3F EPIC 4631 – homozygous black, homozygous polled, out of dam ZIMM A303 (X7 Otto) purchased by Duttenhefner Ranch, Dodge, North Dakota.  This Balancer sported curve bending EPDs and actuals to match that reflected the Zimmerman Ranch bull lineup.  Duttenhefner Ranch also selected Lot 10 ZIMM “Flint” F645 Balancer 25% homozygous black, homozygous polled.

Volume buyers included; Glenn Axtman, Lyle Brewster, Bernell & Elayne Appledoorn.
