LINCOLN, Neb. – The 2024 National Western Stock Show Gelbvieh and Balancer® Junior Show was held on Monday, January 8, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, Exhibitors welcomed judge Chad Murnin of Musselshell, Montana, to evaluate and sort through the Gelbvieh and Balancer entries.
Grand Champion Gelbvieh Female was SEPT Gingersnap Martini K290 owned by Grant Walahoski of Overton, Nebraska. Sired by GHGF Man O’ War F825, and born December 22, 2022, this female first earned the title of Champion Senior Heifer Calf.
Reserve Champion Gelbvieh Female was DRT Lonesome Sapphire Jewel 3L owned by Lonesome Dove Ranch, Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Canada. Born January 26, 2023, and sired by DRT Lonesome Yellowstone 175H, this female first earned the title of Champion Junior Heifer Calf.
