LINCOLN, Neb. — The American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA) board of directors is comprised of nine AGJA members. Directors serve two-year terms and are eligible to serve two full terms. Directors must be 16 years of age but must not have reached their 20th birthday as of January 1 of the current election year.
The AGJA welcomes the following new members to the 2026-2027 AGJA board of directors, Clara Belle Bishop, daughter of Andy and Meagan Bishop of Coxs Creek, Ky.; Kinley Metts, daughter of Kelly Metts and Kelly James of Paragould, Ark.; and Kate Strackeljahn, daughter of Sylvia Skouby of Saint James, Mo. Teagan Butterfield, daughter of Dave and Jackie Butterfield of Atkinson, Neb., was re-elected to a second two-year term on the board.
Additional members serving the second year of their current term are Cody Brown, son of Jason and Lori Brown of Dwight, Kan.; Madalyn Johnson, daughter of Jason and Rebecca Johnson of Judsonia, Ark.; Corbin Lowe, son of Scott and Dana Lowe of Winfield, Kan.; Lincoln Martin, son of Eric and Holly Martin of Bucklin, Kan.; and Justine Pope, daughter of Jeff and Jeanna Pope of Ravenna, Neb.
The newly elected AGJA board of directors meets after the conclusion of the AGJA Annual Meeting to elect executive committee members to serve in leadership positions for the upcoming year. Teagan Butterfield was elected as president. Lincoln Martin was elected as vice president. Justine Pope was elected as vice president of leadership development. Madalyn Johnson was elected as secretary. Corbin Lowe was elected as the treasurer.
Retiring board members of the 2025-2026 AGJA board of directors included Isabel Lowe, daughter of Raymond and Melissa Lowe of Adrian, Mo.; Braxton Murray, son of Matthew and Andrea Murray of Kingfisher, Okla.; and Gentry Warner, daughter of Dan and Kate Warner of Arapahoe, Neb. The AGJA thanks all three of them for their service and commitment to the AGJA and its members during their time served on the AGJA board of directors.
The American Gelbvieh Junior Association is the junior division of the American Gelbvieh Association. The AGJA provides members up to 21 years of age the opportunity to participate in youth activities.
