The American Gelbvieh Junior Association (AGJA)
elected new directors during its annual
meeting held during the 2008 AGJA Blue Ridge
Classic in Waynesville, N.C. The annual
event was held July 6-11 and co-hosted with
the North Carolina Gelbvieh Association and
North Carolina Gelbvieh Junior Association.
Eight junior members ran for four available
spots on the AGJA Board of Directors.
Kyle Kendrick and Keaton Kendrick, sons of Joe and
Patti Kendrick of Palmyra, Mo., were
re-elected to their second 2-year term on
the AGJA Board of Directors. They will be
juniors at the University of
Missouri-Columbia.
Justin Taubenheim of Nebraska and Katie Sullivan of
Robertsdale, Ala., were elected to new
two-year terms on the Board of Directors.
Justin is the son of Mike and Renee
Taubenheim of Amherst, Neb. Katie is the
daughter of Larry and Marie Sullivan.
Following the general election, the AGJA Board of
Directors met to elect its leadership for
the 2008-09 year. Kyle Kendrick was
re-elected to serve a second term as AGJA
President. Sydney Wilkinson of Model, Colo.,
was elected by her peers to serve as Vice
President. Sydney is the daughter of Bill
and Nancy Wilkinson.
Andy Lindgren, beginning his second year on the board,
was elected Vice President of Leadership
Development. Andy is the son of Jim and
Diane Lindgren of Atlanta, Ill. Nikki Hojer
is the new AGJA Secretary. Nikki is the
daughter of Alan and Pam Hojer of Lake
Preston, S.D. Tara Krajewski of Venango,
Neb., was elected AGJA Treasurer. Tara is
the daughter of Chuck and Linda Krajewski.
Zachary Butler, son of Michael and Barbi Butler of
Milton, Tenn., will continue on the Board as
Ex-Officio. Carrie Tilghman of Kentucky,
daughter of Gary and Pat Tilghman, will
continue on the AGJA Board as a director.
